That’s actually impressive. Time to join the noon crew. lol. What km range does almost 60 litres give you?

Getting close to 100 alpine km most days. Oil is becoming the limiting factor.

Fill the tank on your sled as well.

Jk,

I occasionally run out with the new turbo, but never use the entire content of the large jerry can. Ran out on Saturday playing on the hills, was surprised when it just quit and It sent me over the bars for a ride. Turned around and said, what did I do to you. Just started beeping, guess I should of put some fuel in just before that one more climb.

What's the best way to fasten them to the boards?

We did some dumb ****.. usually in the toe holds were able to tuck one end in then zip tie to boards get to alpine and stash. Zip tie em all together on the way out to tunnel.. 10 yrs ago you could burn a lot of fuel on a good day running 12lbs of boost! Much improved economy these days.

Alford might be onto something here with the piss jugs. Not sure why he isn't running the big linq stuff.

I would go to the pub and drink beer once out of fuel. Problem solved. Or sleep in. Both viable options

But ya wow that’s a lot of fuel for an NA sled
I wonder if I was on a turbo if I would get better millage or worse.

Might not be wicked everywhere.
Find out next year.

That will depend on the conditions, first day I burnt the same as a NA. The second day I burnt more than a NA, and I had to use my jerry can, 76miles that day, and a half a tank of oil.
The NA sled ran out going up the ramp on his deck, I probably would of ran out on the trail.

The gauge is very deceiving, I can have 1 bar left, put my jerry can in and have 3/4 showing.

Yeah the guage sucks.

Full, full, full ,full, full, full then 1 bar.

Sit on level, have a beer.
Check again.

Zero bars you have to worry.

I ran out on the trail, I know what empty is lol.

I know that even in deep snow I should get 70 miles on my tank of fuel, I always carry 13L spare. Yesterday did 71miles and the sled hiccuped just before the truck.

If I burn a tank plus my spare to get down the trail that’s a good day, even if that means going down the trail at noon!

Edit* just realized this is in the doo section. I’ll go back to the cat threads. I don’t belong here

These sleds go a long way on Zero bars. A couple years ago I was Zero bars and fuel light on 5 K from renshaw cabin in headlight deep snow. I drove back to the cabin and was going to dump my Jerry in there, but decided not too cause I wanted to know how far the sled would make it on fuel light. I rode the 30 K back to the trailer without using the Jerry. I thought for sure I would run out a few K down the trail.

Hasn't been my experience.

Ran out shortly after it started beeping at me.
Put 58l in at the gas station.
