I have wanted to own one of these since I was a kid. I am too stubborn and cheap to just go and buy one that is in nice shape. One of my friends had an incident with a frozen throttle cable or iced up carbs and his 96 Phazer 2 Mountain Lite hit a tree in his yard wide open. I will have to get some pics from before some parts where pulled to check the frame but this is what happened. It was in very nice condition before the tree magnet was turned on.
I went to Benalto to check out the damage for him and long story shortened I bought it from him for $600. First offered to find the parts to repair it and would have worked on it for him in exchange for giving my girls skating lessons. Something that was natural to me is sure difficult to teach I find.
Anyway I found a straight frame and bought it from Dusty Dancer who runs Snowmobile Recyclers in Dewinton (all around good **** his card even says so). Then used the Snow and Mud courier service and had Trashy pick it up for me and brought it to Red Deer which cost me some Bud light but I didn't have to spend an evening driving to and from Calgary. Thanks Trashy.
