As far as I know, unless the guys went back to get them out or git Rene or surge to get them out today

I really don't think u could ride the lower three out

The t3 they got up some of the way, if u packed a goat trail it may go, but only one shot at it I bet
Might need Serge to winch them out

Lol, look closer

That's a old Vintage sled lol I meant serge bought the helicopter

But yes BillDozer, may have to helli them out
I meant serge updated to a helicopter less wear on the knees especially if you have a swamper to hook up the sled.

Looks like serge updated his recovery equipment!!!!
Wonder if my sled and vehicle insurance covers helicopter ride up the hill in rough trail conditions or muddy rides up the mountain.......probably not

Question for ya. Besides some of the obvious spots such as below Morton and Blue, can some of the old boys chime in and point out a few notably bad avy spots to avoid? Im a 2nd year club member and have rode the local areas a fair bit, but am looking for info on places to avoid. Has the hill in front of the Blue cabin slid in recent history? Maybe a new thread is required for this discussion? Thanks in advance, Holio

Tex I don't know the year but I've been told the hill in front of the Blue Lake cabin has slid in the past.

In Owlshead riding area, the west side of Mara mountian is well known for slides. I've seen it slide numerous times. So is the opposite side, the bottom of it is abit of a terrain trap during certain condition. Lots of people enjoy pulling that hill all the way to the look out, it has its hazard for sliding.
On the east side it can also slide but not as common, about 6-7yrs ago a guy died there from a slide.

hate to derail the avy discussion, but what are the riding conditions like out there? I have been getting conflicting information from my sources.

Billdozer and I did a trip up to Blue, not as much snow as we thought there'd be but we did find a few spots that tickled our fancy! The nice part of the day was that we actually had some sunshine, good vis, snow over the bumper in many spots and snow drifts that washed our headlights off! We did below the cabin, broke the drifts on the top trail over to Brown Pants (real wind blown over there!) back to the meadows and then below, wayyyyyy below the meadows and found some awesome snow. Then spun our way back up to the trail ,around Cummins and below, and then over to Owlshead, it was a long day!! I can say that there is more snow at Blue than Owl's, a good 6" more, and where we went we never had another sled track other than ours, gotta like that! Oh, that one picture of Billdozer that looks like he's signaling for help or something?? He's fine, just waving, its always good to have a "sled Model" along on the trip!!! FYI, spoke to some guys coming over Skinny from Morton Lk, quite a few areas have slid, some a good 12" deep, so beware..Sherm
