Lets see....it goes like this..."BIRDS OF A FEATHER FLOCK TOGETHER".
It doesn't surprise me

Each to their own.....if you're not into it....don't go
He used to till he got hurt at a bis years ago... So he knows

Actually we were out on the dootalk ride that weekend that turbo slide at bis...we where in sicamous -hunters on Friday, going off of his knowledge we went back to hunters Saturday....

We where going to go to bis to watch but decided not, after the amount of snow and conditions..... We used our heads, otherwise we would have been below turbo watching too I bet....

March 2005, there is a video of the crash somewhere.
One totaled sled and 8 months off work with rehab. No insurance company will cover you, so think about it if your interested in participating in such a cluster FK event. Even as a spectator.
I'm real glad that most vendors, dealers and the town of Revy will not support this.

Don't worry Ric they are not referring to you.... You wear the uniform but I question whether you carry a stick. In all my time here I'm pretty sure you've never "moderated" anything...in fact you are usually throwing stones with the rest of us minions.... RK keeps you around because at one time you were a big time model and you bring style/fashion legitimacy to an otherwise red neck website....

Play nice kids.... ;)

Saw on Mark Schaede's Facebook page this morning pic's of a group of 12 or so placing some tribute granite plaques in honor of the 2 deceased fella's from the last BIS at Turbo Hill yesterday. I thought it was a classy thing to do on behalf of Dave all in all. Looks like some uphill drag racing at Superbowl with the small group so it appears the BIS will be pretty low key and not really affect the Vintage ride and Snowarama this weekend.

You should post the pic so we can see the plaques. I tried searching for that mark guy but can't seem to find him.

Can't do it bud. Go to Revy sled guy and you can get it. There is a vid with a tribute between all the sledders there. Plaques look heavy but should survive the outdoors.

Nice Trubute.
As far as , oh there climbing 9 at a time going up a hill,
that's their decision not yours. Don't like it don't go. Don't watch.
If I was there then there would be ten going up the hill.
I'm sure they chose on their own to go up the hill not told to go up the hill. Just saying.

Never plan on going to anything hosted by these guys. All I'm saying is that the more people on a hill at the same time, the more likely incidents can happen. Such as accidents, avalanches, etc. With what happened in the past I thought this would have been done a little safer that's all.

Been seeing bozo Dave and a few buds around Revy this weekend. Bozo Dave is a complete idiot and bad for any sport. Loud and look at me guy. We were eating and he was heading by our table. We were like fawk off. I also saw him pulled over by the cops and my guess is they don't like him much either. Lol

"Their decision" that you enlighten us with is usually the attitude that doesn't think of the consequences.
It's the decision that in the long run can end making call's to SAR's, OHYA i forgot....SAR's is free of charge for stupidity...duh...(maybe that needs to change)
This attitude is a fine example of many in this spoiled society today. "I can do what i want, when i want, in what ever way i want and you don't like it too bad"...
Unfortunately with the lack of responsibility and poor judgement coupled with bad attitude the rest of us have to clean up your BS after the fact. Personally i have no problem with what is being said in this post....if after the fact no one would clean up after and leave those that made the bad decision's fend for them selves or.. rot.
That is how thing's are done in many countries, thus men become honorable men, not men that feel its their rights. But i doubt with that attitude you know the meaning of honorable.

As for the Big iron shoot out, the last thing i'ed like to add to this is, though i'm not a fan of Ozone and imo the guy is a idiotic clown and there are other like him, i'm sure. He is being used as a scapegoat for the BIS tragedy. The BIS was never a sanctioned event and people went there at there own risk.
On March 15 2010 there were nearly 200 sledder's there. 200 sledder's that should had known better if they payed attention to the condition's. Unfortunately that wasn't the case and chit happened. You cannot blame one dude as there were 200 other's that should of made a better decision, they all carry responsibility for their action's, the warning's were all there.

That very same weekend i was guiding a large group in Sicamous, the groups plan was for me to guide them in Revelstoke(Boulder). After the ride in Sicamous i talked to the group and advised against going there because of the snow condition's. I would not guide them, the group agreed and we rode Sicamous again, the same day of the BIS tragedy. It's hard enough to be 100% safe out there, i'm glad the group saw the dangerous condition's happening that weekend of March 2010.

What some peeps may not know about that tragedy was Ozone was at the Boulder cabin when it happened. The show was over for the day. The 200 peeps that went to Turbo did because they wanted more. The powder was epic and all that big iron on the hill wanted to tackle the biggest prize on Boulder that day. Don't get me wrong. I shake my head at Dave just like everyone else but its pretty hard to throw him under the bus for the avalanche. He didn't cause it and he didn't tell everyone to keep on moving down the area to tackle Turbo. Like Lund said. The peeps there were there because they wanted to be. Was a terrible day but it could have been alot worse. RIP to our fallen comrades.

Agree you cant blame anyone but yourself if you were there. A lot of hypocrites on here pointing fingers.

Look at all the youtube videos of the sled movies. I was just having breakfast at Joe Scmucks and best of Team Thunderstruck was on. Footage of nine sleds climbing a hill at a tiime, two in a chute at same time, avalanches being triggered when turning out by a rock face and more. How is that any different than Team BIS?
Do you think those 200 people were at Turbo to try and be like Ozone.

I was with those guys when they put the plaques at the base of the tree. I don't know Ozone personally just heard the stories. What he did was very classy it was a very real moment. Call him what you want but as far as I see it I was very impressed what he did for those that died that day and others who have died in our sport.
