Store them inside........... sorry can't resist

funny guy, I do store inside but I was waiting for the title so it sat in a friends driveway for 3 and half weeks of pure sun... and fadded the chit out of it, my concern about dying is it would blead out when wet?
I am going to show my interior repair guys here at work and see what they say,
Ill keep ya posted Dobir and SBR

A good upholstery type shop should be able to replace just that panel on the seat..

my buddies dad is a kick ass upolstery dude... he actually builds and upolsters seats lighter than the boss seat... well he does for cats at least... i know he's done a few for the doos as well... anyways back to the point of the post... he swings some pretty slick work... if you want his number pm me and i'll pass it on.

he works out of fort saskatchewan.

I have a custom seat made out of my stock seat from him... light as hell and u can customize any color any design u want... even snake skin or ostrich leather... lol

Hate to say it Sean, but you should be all over Boss for that. That's paying top dollar for a seat and them using cheap materials.

I WOULD NOT be pleased. It's an outdoor sport. It should be designed to last in the elements. That's about as bad as the stuff they do on boats...

It's the rays that bleach it, as far as i'm concerned it's not the quality of material thats the issue.. It's just like simmons ski's come with a sticker on them stating that the UV rays will damage them as well.. Just my thoughts..

agree, it takes a few years to fade or 3 weeks strait in direct sunlight for 12-14hours,
I will try and get it dyed or rep[laced, cost and the outcome to follow

well I just talked to our interior guys and he sleds as well and says dying will not work because the material resists moisture and the dye bleeds out, he also said to replace the lower is hard beacause the stiching will not be the same our as durable,

so either re-cover the whole seat or suck it up i guess, ah well,

how much for a cat Boss seat glen?? lol

Maybe off season BOSS would recover for less than replacing the whole 700 buck seat..thats too bad...

Yes, to a certain degree it can't be stopped, but it can be limited with UV resistant materials.

Think car interiors? Some sit out all their lives. Do you see black fabric turning brown in 3 week old cars? 5 years? 10 years? Boats?? See those nice blues turning to white anytime soon? How about reds turning pink?

They last quite long. That's because they are made with QUALITY materials.

I'd take that straight back to Boss. They cheaped out and you are paying for it now.

hate to say it but try a plastic paint! Nylon is plastic in nature. Go light tho, Maybe try it first on an old lawn chair. just a thought if boss does nothing.

use black liquid shoe polish, always touch mine up as it starts to fade from the amount of moisture on the lower area by the snaps. works great and very cheap. it's only time.

Did anyone contact boss?? This sounds like a common problem, and i'm sure it's not cheap material they're using, but maybe they have a "fix" they can suggest? I think the liquid shoe dye would work, but i would contact boss first for their input into the problem.... I wouldn't expect them to warranty anything, but they must have some suggestions at least!

What kind of liquid polish..is there a particular make, model,etc...seems like a good idea but I am wondering about it rubbing off...like John I says..he has nice white booties Iwould not want to see them get dirty...if this works I will be going to the store today..
