Did you take the other headlight out or just block it off. Normally, if you take them out on the new cats you have to run a resistor, how does it work if you only remove one? Do you still need a resistor?

No offense and not bein a dick but bdx is wrong. Ran a headlight delete for a couple years on the 2010 m8 no probs, check snowest too, tons of M guys ran it without one, to be honest i think it was the earlier year M sleds that needed the resistor

trying to get a straight answer on the resistor is impossible. I think its a cover my ass answer from manufacturers/dealers. If you have a doubt, take the bulbs out of the headlights, plug them into the harness, ty wrap so they don't bounce/burn anything, call it done.

Ive had issues in the past with this. Easy fix is the plug and play resistor and capacitor kit many online stores carry.

picked up a 2011 M8 HO 162" new left over. stupid deal that i couldnt pass up. the older i get, the more i realize that stock or just the minor mods are the way to go. spent far too much money over the years hoppin up sleds only to have them be slightly more fun but with more headaches.

just the simple stuff for this girl:

big air intake
can
clutching

Just wondering what kind of sled lift you are using in the garage? Looks well made. Found one at princess auto for $220.00, will hold up to 750 pounds. Looks like the same design as yours, but painted red. Thanks
