Just wondering if anybody knows the status of Waiparous these days. I heard they shut the area down for May long weekend, hence the MacLean Creek fiasco. Was that just temporary...are OHV's and camping allowed? Normally go to Hunter Valley Road if that helps. Thanks.

It is open. Be sure to stop at one of the kiosks and pick-up a trail map though as there are some restrictions as to closed trails and some new ones are open. There are also some camping restrictions, all is explained on the map brochures. We were out there last weekend, was excellent.

waiprous is good to go! we have been out there a bunch this season already. some parts are still pretty snowy though on the north facing slopes.
anybody riding there this week? we will be out there this wed-thurs (28-29)
and would love to hook up with some extra riders. we will be camping near the south ghost staging area tonight and will quad from the gravel pits on thues around 1oam or so start. who is coming?
