he is a freak of nature.

IMO this is the ONLY reason he's in the UFC. Is he good at MMA? I think not. Is he GOOD at being a hard headed, 265 lb bow-hunk? I think so :d I hope Randy snaps his arm off before the end of the first round. I have to admit though, Randy has old balls and he's gotta do ur in the first round :) or he might have his hands full.

in 3 fights Brock is as good or better than anyone you named. Yes he lost to Mir, and submission defense is his biggest weakness. He will only get better. Yes they fast tracked him because the UFC has no real talent in the heavyweight division. If Randy shows up the way he has the last fewfights Brock will wipe the floor with him. I am not a fan of the way Brock acts, but he is a freak of nature.
my point exactly, he may be as good or better, but certainly doesn't warrant him getting this fight. seems like the faster they can get rid of Randy, the better. UFC is making millions from their PPV's, Randy and Tito were outspoken on how little of that revenue made it's way to the fighters. Randy knows there is no future in any of the other MMA companies, and wants his big fight (read: payout) before he has to retire.

Randy is very smart, he wouldn't have taken the fight if he didn't think there was a way to defeat Lesnar. I wouldn't count him out...

gotta also disagree on the no real talent comment, other than Fedor, who do you see as talent in the HW division outside the UFC? Arlovski? Werdum? Silvia? there are more, who do you think is competition for Lesnar? in my opinion, Fedor would have less of a chance against Lesnar than Randy does, but would hesitate to call a favourite in a Randy vs. Fedor fight.

oh and these discussions are why I love MMA.....:d

Brock ain't no Kimbo. He is an ex ncaa wrestling champ, which helps alot in mma

Didn't mean to suggest he was, just comparing how they were being pushed up the ladder.ncaa champ or not I don't believe lessnar's in the same league as randy.Couture by 1st round submission.

I highly doubt Randy will destroy Brock. only way Brock loses is if he gets caught in a submission. Who else is there in the heavyweight division. Brock is the best of what's available. once he get's his submission defence down he will be virtually unbeatable.

I would hate to see brock win. He diddnt earn it but he might get it. Its like a smash up derby with a nissan titan against a f 550 Go randy!!!!

I agree with a few of you that Brock doesn't deserve this fight at all and hope he loses his azz to the senior. I watched a biography on Randy just a few nights ago and he's pulled off the unthinkable before so let's hope he can doer again one more time against this gomer.

Side note brother in law just got back from Vegas and met Henderson & Jardine, apparently got a couple signed posters said they were pretty cool.

Yah, Randy is a true artist at his game, he finds his opponents weakness very well and capitalizes on it, but I cant seem to choose who is going to win, experience or muscle, young or old, fast (Lesnar) and not as fast (Randy). As for Fedor, I believe NO ONE in the UFC can touch him, but in this sport it only takes one good punch or kick to the jaw and anybody is out. Thats why Im hooked, so damn unpredictable.

many times...as posted above, anyone can win on any given night. I don't think that Fedor has the adaptability to match any style like Randy does, you can't definitively say he would win in the octagon. it is a different fight when the cage comes into play. in a standard ring, edge to Fedor. in the cage, I would lean toward Randy having the edge because of the experience. Very few Pride fighters have lived up to the hype when it comes to fighting in the octagon.

The biggest reason I watch MMA is for the talent and amazing moves these guys can pull off. Lesnor hasn't shown anything that resembles MMA. The amount of money Dana is handing these guys from outside UFC is ridiculous and short changing the guys that made UFC what it is.
Randy is a master and if he fights his fight he's got a good chance. There's always the "lucky" punch but that can go both ways.
Kimbo found out that street fights are nothing compared to trained athletes with cardio and skills. He has neither.

Brock is huge and very tough but he is going to get the octagon schooling of a lifetime against Randy. Not enough experience. Brock already lost to a way lesser fighter then Randy. No one thought Randy could deal with the size of Tim the maniac either and that fight was awesome. The only reason Brock is getting this chance is because Dana wants Randy to lose. Randy has the biggest heart in UFC and will not go out with a loss.

dana may or may not want randy to lose, who really knows, BUT this fight is a HUGE PPV. he's getting the shot for 2 reasons. 1) no other real talent in the HW--mir and nogeura are already scheduled to fight each other. 2) it's gonna make a chit load of cash!!!!!
