track change

Anybody willing to give me a step by step on changing a track in a 10-800 switchback........how hard is it?

They are all pretty much the same. Little more work if its mechanical reverse. Raise the rear off the sled off the ground by the rear bumper about 10 ''. Remove your forward and rear mounting suspension bolts.Loosen off your track tension all the way at the rear adjuster bolts. Also loosen off both rear outer idler bolts to slide the rear shaft. Pull out your suspension. Drain chaincase for less mess if possible.Remove your chaincase cover, lower gear, lock nut ,washer etc, remember order to re install. Pto side, remove the bearing cap. The jackshaft will have a locking allen key in a coller on each side of the jackshaft, loosen, inside of the tunnel ,both sides.This should allow you to slide the jackshaft into one side of the bulkhead and other side out. Remove jackshaft and track. Not hard ,just time and remember your sequence in reverse.
