How much do you guys depreciate your sleds every year?

Was talking with the AMA guys and he said not to insure it for more than book value because that is all they will pay out.

So I have a 2015 T3 163 with 500km on it.

Should I depreciate it by 2-3k?

No use paying for coverage you can't get......

I know someone right now going through this. The insurance company charged him the same rate for two years and now they want to pay him out next to nothing due to depreciation. He's fighting it.

But no problem charging you full pop for the premium.

Is there a black book for sleds?

they do not depreciate their payments year to year, so why should they get to pay less than the agreed amount.

I pay 180 for full coverage, I think its cooperators. We have a few insurance company's we deal with rather than a single company, Seems to work out better.

So you have full replacement as part of your policy then?

Most pay out sled "value" as per some black book in the event of a write off.

So if they deem your sled is only worth $12,000 why insure it for $15,000?
