Extreame bog on my 96xlt 600 fresh engine 170 mains decker pipes

You will have to give some more info before anyone can help. What has changed since before the rebuild and how extensive of a rebuild? Did you just install the pipes along with the rebuild? What altitude are you at? What size carbs are you running? It could be fuel related or clutch related.

i was fixing my friends xlt, and had the same problem. we had went thru everything. we had found it to be the checkvalves on the bottom of the carbs, of course always the last thing you check. i would clean your carbs and check the checkvalves, and if that dont work at least it is a start. need more info to help you
