This is the rear compartment for the gen4. There well built, great size, not bulky looking. There is place for the tool kit in here
you can build your own tool kit with decent quality tools for a little cheaper. for the wrenches you can find slim ones like the ones in the skidoo kit.yep, that's going on mine. I miss the XM rear storage spot and the battery casting is ugly on SHOT sleds. The tool kit is pricey tho! maybe santa will leave it in my stocking....

side pic of mine:
Does your free ride have the low profile seat???
first trip out on this sled and i loved it but wanted to change two things right off the bat--first was to get rid of the high engagement so i fixed that with an ibackshift clutch kit and the second was that the seat was way too high-it just got in the way and i'm 5'11. all i did was remove about 3/4 of the seat staples so that i could pull the huge chunk of foam out. i then took a serrated knife and removed about 2.5 inches from the bottom of the foam and not the top because i wanted to keep the original contour of the top of the seat intact so it would look factory. after that i cut some recesses in the bottom of the foam to conform to the plastic seat base as the original bottom of the foam had. i put it back in and restapled it. works great and there's plenty of cushion left but even on the trail out i rarely sit down. it's interesting now how these sleds are coming with the lower profile seats.
here's a pic without the storage box so you can get a better idea of the new seat height.
skinz makes some nice aftermarket low seats but the two models they have are 400 and 470 dollars depending on which one. i'm not sure how that price is justified but they do look well made. Can you buy the expert seat separately, I believe it is 2” shorter
it is a brp accessory and is called a "radiator protector". great accessory and protects the top of the tunnel where i'm routinely setting stuff on. it comes stock on some trail sleds i think.Where did you get the black cover that goes on top of the tunnel and goes right to the back of the taillight from your last picture above ? Is that a BRP accessory ?
My understanding is you can only buy the 47C seat. The expert seat you have to buy the foam and cover and build it on your existing seat base. My buddy just looked into it and it was like $150 for the cover and $250 for the foam which is ridiculous for a build your own seat kit.Can you buy the expert seat separately, I believe it is 2” shorter
