Anyone riding Radium/Invermere area this weekend (Feb 23/24)? Two of us are coming down from Thorsby for the first time. We usually ride Valemount/McBride or Revy, but figured we should try somewhere new. Both of us have AST1 training, PIEPS DSP beacons, SnoPulse backpacks, carry a sat phone/gps/first aid & emergency kit, been riding in the mountains for 7 years, and aren't big risk takers. Riding an 800 XP 154 and 800 Rev 151, willing to try any of the local areas.

If you're used to riding Val/McBride/Revy, you may be disappointed with Radium. Yes it may be real good some days, but the attraction is that is only a few hours from Calgary(and guys still drive by and go to Revy!)

We ride the Radium/Invermere area all the time and have found alot of nice areas within Forster to play. Not as much big mountain playing as other areas but lots of fun in the trees. Not as many different areas to choose from as Valemount area but you can find some deadly riding in Forster if you are willing to go playing. The area is safe for the most part, just stay away from the avy areas which are very obvious when you are in there. You will have no issues finding Forster either. If you have any issues look up Mike at Renegade Motoworks and he will help you out. Have a good trip, i don't think you will be disappointed if they get some fresh snow.
