Is anyone else sick of these "green" adds? Electric cars? Sure thats all good but what about that coal burning plant that makes the electricity? Eythonol? How about the fossil fuel energy to make less energy? The coolaid factory is working overtime! (Just a rant, be gentle please!)

I have to agree with you.The Chev Volt is only good for maybe 30k in the cold climate and you will have to wear a sweater and gloves to drive it.So much for green power. The article was in the Star yesterday.I wonder how many will buy them after reading what they said.:beer::beer:

the "footprint" required to build and maintain a prius is larger than the "footprint" from the production and useful lifespan of a full size hummer. sheeple keep grazing though....

Sure hybrid cars emit less than the alternative, but where do the batteries go after they wear out?

Oh yea, noone has any plan for that.

It would be nice to get a small diesel car, as the euros do. They can pull 50+ MPG out of a small car, same footprint as building a usual car, and still gets the same mileage as a prius.

Can't be as smug in a small diesel car as you can in a prius though....

It's all marketing designed to make the greens feel all comfy and rightous while they burn more energy than anybody.
Keep the bitts spinning right please.
