I was wondering if I should get gearing done to my free ride for the Saskatchewan terrain, if I like drift banging, carving, and cat walking? Or if I will need gearing. I am new with xm's.

Gearing is secondary to getting it properly clutched for low elevation.....THEN gear it to your liking. ibackshift.com or Roosterbuilt ("Winter Brew" on this forum) are reputable.

Funny you say "get gearing done". Its the simplest thing in the world to change yourself. But like i said, its second to getting a clutch kit. Your Freeride is a mountain sled and is clutched for high elevation from the factory.

Deano, I just bought my first Ski doo. Coming from the pro i have no idea on clutching for thes models. I have a 2013 163 xmx and ride a lot of pipeline/cutline at around 2000ft elevation. Got something that will work for me?
