My buddy just gave me acouple big moose steaks,Im no chef so anybody no the best way to cook them or any secrets to dooing it.Thanks for the info.

Marinate them overnight just like beef and then as mentioned above cook em on the BBQ.

dont over cook!!!!! Medium rare at most. There isnt allot of fat in moose so it will get really dry if cooked too much.

I like to sear the outside on high heat and brown them right up then put them in a stew pot with diced tomatoes and oinions and garlic and red wine and everything in the spice cupboard then let them simmer for a couple hours. Called swiss steak i think.

This is my favourite method. A few carrots, spuds, onions, a jug of wine and thats all she wrote!

I agree with using beer in a marinade, but be careful that you use the right amount of beer, you don't want to over do it, but I also really recommend using brown sugar or Maple sugar, it really helps with tenderizing the meat and adds a great taste, plus plan to cook to medium rare. but really it is up to you for your own flavor preferrance. Just remember what ever you marinade it in you should at least do it for a couple hours.
