Buying Us Sleds in Canada

Hey guy just a question to throw out there? Does anyone know the legality's of buying a Us sled in Canada? Say your in Revelstoke, Run into an American rider, like his sled agree on a price, Is it that easy or is there still huge paperwork involved to get it registered here?

From my research it is the same deal as if you were bringing it across the border. You just have to report the "importation" to CBSA apy the GST and fill out the RIV form, pay the RIV fee and have it inspected. There is a CBSA office at the airport who can help you out. There is no requirement to bring it back to the border for the "importation".
