Needless to say I had a brutal day today riding in Bruderheim. I had no idea how badly these trails have been abused. I found out first hand of what larger OHV's can do to a trail.

On the upside I had a bunch of terrific people try to help me out today, and I just wanted to say thank you in hopes that you frequent this site.

Great to see helpful souls still exist. Here is a clip of the carnage.

Wow that's nuts. With all the trucks and jeeps going out there now I'd stay away

There was damage. Blew the bead on drivers side front, tore the front bumper off and I think damaged the winch bracket. Broke the winch line, glazed the belt, and who know what water damage there is. I think we were able to get it out without any water in the engine. It did die, but was submerged 2 hours running waiting for a $700 tow job from AMA. To top off my day, the axle on my trailer broke on the way home as well. I shouldn't have gotten outta bed!

It will be shut down soon if things don't change. I avoid the area now. I also keep my riding areas quiet so the same thing doesn't happen to them. That suck about your machine. I hope you can repair and get it going without too much cost.

Why would you think you could get across a swamp this time of year? Spring=deep water..... Just saying. I was out there two weeks ago and its obvious where to go and where to avoid

Chalk it up to going off of my memory. I've been riding there for years and have gone on this trail 30 times. I have never once sunk like that in that area before. It literally sucked me in. I was crawling along and it still grabbed me. Oh well, lesson learned.

That just sux azz wow! Sure hope that machine is all cool luckily no one got hurt either. 1 question though I have to ask is I have never rode this area before and was going to last Sunday is it all as bad as peeps say, or should it be avoided besides watching out for the Black Hole.

Not to be azz ? But if you drive into a water hole without checking it chit can happen?
I know I can't see into murky waters.
Could be 1/2 m deep or 2 meters deep plus?
Though's would look deep IMO.

That hole is on the main trail if I am thinking of the right one. I am one that will go into a hole with out checking it out. Most of the time your ok but the odd time st!t like this happens! In a month when it's all fixed and and you are out camping and riding you will have one of the best stories around the camp fire. I am usually the one telling those kind of stories!
