Supposedly, there is less rolling resistance with them. Whether or not this is fact or fiction, I'm not sure.

also generally they get 2 wheel axel to go along with the big wheels .. remove outside wheels .. easier to side hill

speaking of which .. I have a big wheel kit for rev for sale 8" wheels.. you buy now !

The idea is the track doesnt have to make as sharp as bend so easer to roll. also if you want one size longer track you can flip the big wheel kit around to take up extra track slack
