Update on the Xrays. 3hrs at Rocky Mountain House Hospital. The staff there are really good
They checked me over in areas that didn't hurt. Just incase. All the X rays looked good. Doc said it's just soft tissue damage. Pop pain killers as needed and take it easy for a few days. So that's good news.
Glad to hear that, take care of yourself

Got dubbed that in a riding clinic in 2021 by our one instructor. Lol

A little bit of an up date.
Rocky Medical called Tuesday night. An automated message saying Dr. Peens (the doc that looked at me in Rocky) has placed me on his recall list. And I need to book an appointment to see Him.

So Wednesday I called. (7 times before getting through).
The receptionist said all she can say is I have a compound fracture.

So notified my supervisor and site nurse. I get sent off site.

I hit Redwater emergency to meet a doctor and see what fractured. (I'm thinking my leg or knee. As it's all swollen red and sore).

Turns out it's my spine.
The report did not say compound at all.
It read possible minor fractures in T10 T11 and S something.

The doctor gently pushed on those spots the S hurt. (Tail bone). The Ts didn't bug me.

According to the pharmacist my one pill is for nerve damage. She thinks my spine may have damaged the nerves for my leg causing the pains down there.

Tomorrow the leg gets an ultrasound (rather the knee).

And we'll see what happens.

I see my doctor Tomorrow morning.
Then the Ultrasound in the afternoon.
And back to my doctor Monday afternoon.

Hopefully these minor possible fractures turn out to be nothing and heal fast.

Right now I was told.
No bending
No lifting
No twisting.

I'm pretty certain that protective vest saved my ass. Never riding without it.

It's hard doing nothing.
Doctors just don't want me making it worse until it heals. Will update on the leg when I find out more on it.

Machine need any fixing ?
Surprisingly it help up very well. (I broke its fall).
The two linq locking disc's broke off the box. ($30.00 for new ones. Got them already).
The snorkle housing.
And the plastic cover on the rad relocate cracked.

The back rack got bent. A friend already straightened the bars for it.

Ordered 2 plastic welders. The one with the staples came In. Waiting for the the other welder. I'll try my hand at repairs. See what happens.

I haven't looked too closely at the frame or other stuff.
Buddies went over it as I was laying in the rocks whimpering. Lol.

Rack got pushed against the rear fender on the right side.

Had to straighten the aluminum rack support.

Inside the quad box. Where the linq locking disc's broke.

Disc's in the picture below

Snorkle housing cracked. I'll give it a go with my plastic welder. See how well I do. Lol.

The plastic cover on the rad relocate. I may attempt to plastic weld. I may just leave it alone.

The gage popped out of its brackets and fell into the dash a bit. Nothing broken here. Luckily.

Small tear on my chest/back armor.

So yeah. Got off real lucky.
For guys that don't wear armor when riding. I strongly recommend it.
Pretty sure I would be in way worse shape had I not wore that.

Right on. Thanks Mitch.
I am looking forward to getting back in the saddle again.

Finally seen my doctor today.
He's not overly concerned on the spine fractures at this time. Said two to 3 weeks of not doing much should heal them.
But wants a CT scan done just to be sure
Going for that on Monday.

You missing big OT time at work with this ?
Huge. Screwed myself out of 260 some hours of double time.
7weeks. 13hr days. Friday Saturday and Sunday all double time. (3 hrs ot every day Monday to Thursday). + July long.
And I had nights so you make a little more.

Installed new doors on the house. And sent the sled out for a rebuild banking on these Overtime hours to pay for it all.

Good thing I have decent credit. Cause that's now paying for the sled and doors.

I guess it's true when they say "don't count your chickens before they hatch"

Man, when I think back to when me and my buddies used to ride some of the steep hills at prairie creek and baseline all the time and how many machines got rolled and outside of maybe a couple cracked ribs, a collar bone and few cuts and bruises nobody ever got hurt too badly. Lots of broken parts a couple write offs and a few sets of helmets though.

Sounds like you got lucky too. Hopefully you heal up quick.
