2010 800 RMK Backfire?

Noticed this weekend my sled backfired many times this weekend when I started this? What causes this and could cause issues with the engine/pistons?

try changing the spark plugs. make sure the spark plug caps are tight on the wires and on the plug.

Mine backfires alot too, almost every time I start it when its warm.
I'll go check my plugs.

Changed them, they were pretty dark and dirty and the one had a whitish/greenish crystal like substance on it. Frozen Water? Wierd!
Going for a big ride tomorrow, see how she does.

thats funny cuz i pulled mine and my clutch side was all crystally like that and my can side was just dirty looking

It seemed to do better but still backfiring on start up.
Man was it ever freakin cold up Eagle pass yesterday.
