2000 summit 700 dies

Bought a mint summit 700 for the wife,went thru the carbs,compression test(130 per side ) really great shape idles great but runs for roughly 2 minutes then dies seems like somebody hit the kill switch but switch is fine(i wiggle it while running and nothing happens)the dess is tight.could this be a coil problem any help would be great.

Could be the stator as well. If you have a service manual kicking around there is a test procedure in it.
