A buddy of mine just bought a couple of 1000 RT'S. Someone told him these machines only run on a 96% octane fuel.Is this true?

my brother would run UFA purple when the fuel was available with no issues

I run premium from the pumps which is 92 octane. Pulls hard no problem.

oh ya my avatar is an RT on 89 always, ran that for 4000+km

Nothing but supreme gasoline in my 1000rt .... 92 octane

No mine says 91 octane right on the fuel cap. Tell buddy to save up for belts 206.00 in b.c. tax in. Heavy but tons of power (fun meter of 11 out of 10)

Thanks to all that replied. We'll see how well he listens.He's a little uneducated on the issue and the guy at the shop always seems to be right.Never mind listening to guys that have an RT.Think I'll just let him waste his cash...

I also run 92 right from the pump, pulls great no issues
