We bought a bighorn 28 back in May. We did some research into it and were not sure of it, as we too are big name brand shoppers. My husband has a rides a Suzuki LTR 450 and a RMZ450, and I ride a Honda 400ex. Our first non name brand purchase was for our daughter which was a Tao Tao quad and we never had any problems with it whatsoever. We load up our bighorn with kids and snacks and head out on day trips, and we go through pretty much everything. We only got stuck really bad one time out at Nordegg and it was due to a crap ton of snow. We ride with my inlaws who have a Rhino 700 and we go everywhere they do, and keep up to them pretty well. The only complaint that I could say we have is trying to track down after market parts. The rhino five point harness seats are about an inch two long to fit in the box of ours. We take ours out often and have never had a break down so far and no issues with it. My husband is used to riding fast and hard, so sometimes he finds it a little underpowered on some of the bigger hills, but we still make it and that is about it. So for us the price was right, and the machine turned out to be good for us and the family, was getting a little hard to ride the sport quads with the kids......so I would say they do pretty well, and are decent, my husband keeps all our machines well maintained too though so that helps.

I owned a Linhai for 1 season.. I really liked it once I changed the clutch. I got stuck really bad and literally melted the stock clutch.. I'm using the word literally correctly.. It threw molten aluminum out the clutch housing exhaust port.

I replaced the clutch with a DR. Pulley clutch (and new stock bell) and it was awesome after that.. We only sold it cause we wanted 3 seats up front..

My only other complaint.. It was a little hard to start when very cold (-20C). Thats pretty standard for a cabureted engine though.

I haven't experienced any clutch problems but have read that some have... in case I do, this dr pulley clutch... where did you source it from? Any more info on it off the top of your head?

I bought a Linhai Bighorn 28 IRS for 5400.00 cash out the door from a dealer in Georgia. He has been a Linhai dealer for over 20 years. So far its all I need and more. I only use it for hunting and some trail riding not anything too severe. I looked at used brand names but to get a 5 or 6 year old name brand that is at the age when many issues are possible I was looking at paying 5200 to 7000 with no warranty.
