Propane regulator on sled trailer crapped out, was spewing propane non stop. I picked up a new one, but it is adjustable psi and the old one was not. What pressure should I set it to? Just runs the furnace, can't remember if it is 30 or 40k BTU.

Thanks in advance.

I remember seeing somewhere about 10 -11"wc. I think just under 1 psi. Don't quote me, just what I heard.

There should be a label inside the furnace cover with supply pressure range or maximum. Most probably less than one psi (28" wc).

Propane = 10-11 inches of water column
Natural Gas = 3.5 inches of water column

You need a manometer to set it properly or you can overfire your heater which is not good (a gasfitter/plumber/sheet metal mechanic should have one). inches of water column is a lot less then psi.

LP is 11" w.c. but also check your temperature differance and consult your heater manual for TD and adjust accordingly.

As a rv tech the reg should be at 11 inches on a manometer when in operation,so with the furnace not running should be at 12.5,don't forget to do a leak check, pressure up system, turn of propane, let pressure off till meter is at 10 inches, should stay there for 3 minutes with no movement.
