Straighten Trailer Axles

It seems I have or the previous owners had bent the rear axle on my travel trailer.

I'm curious if its possible to have it straightened or if I should just bite the bullet and buy a new one?

Anyone have any experience with having them straightened?

axles will have a bend in them from the factory. Is that what you are seeing or is it out of alignment?

Pretty sure they can be straightened. That's what they did to my trailer cause the tires where wearing very bad on one side. Standees springs in Calgary did it for me

uneven tire wear (inside), and both tires on the same axle are rubbing the inner fenderwells.

CITY SPRING DOES TRAILER AXLE ALIGNMENTS... IT CAN GET EXPENSIVE, BUT I THINK FARTHER AHEAD THAN REPLACING AXLES... I'M SURE SOME OF THE RV SHOPS DO IT AS WELL?

I've had alignments done at Spruceland but apparently they are over priced. Had no complaints about their work though.

We do that at airdrie trailer not that hard to do if you have a shop to remove the axle just need some chain and a jack

Take it to fleet brake on 114th in edmonton, best place to get trailer alignment done imo.
I had my TT done there and know about 4 others that used them and we are all happy with the service.

They have a machine that bends the axles with them still installed on the trailer and the alignment heads are installed on all wheels, so no need to have the axles removed and bent in a press.
I cant remember the guys name there ( Lou?) I think but he's very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain things to you, like avoiding bending the axle out of alignment.

Id bet it would cost close to a new axle. Had a new 3500 lb one put on my enclosed last year from standens. Was about 380 bucks including all brakes etc.

$422 is the quote for a complete alignment. they said they will assess the axle first though before they go thru with it. That's from Fleet Brake.

Thats pretty steep... Hell if you bought one without brakes etc, just the axle itself you could probably be in the 300 dollar range and just would have to swap them over. Seems like a lot for an "alignment".

Same situation for trailer tires. Had a shop try to get me to "balance/straighten" my one trailer tire for 130 bucks. Just went to princess auto and bought brand new tires mounted on rims for 100 bucks.

How would yah know if the new axle was inspec after the install?? Fleet brake inspects the suspension etc before the alignment, and that quote is for both axles.
Why replace a axle if its not necessary??

I had my alignment done In 2011 and the new tires were wearing perfect right up to the point where I traded it this spring.

It only took Two years on a brand new trailer, and new axles and the tires were shot. Im monitoring my new trailers tire wear closely, any sign of wear its going to fleet brake.

Id go there again in a heartbeat.
