I'm looking to delete my 12 lml dmax in the near future. Anybody have any suggestions to run for exhaust with no drone and keeping it somewhat on the quiet side? I'm thinking 4". What brand did you go with and how loud is it? I would like it sound nice with out being that a-hole neighbour that leaves early every morning. Does anybody use the cat back system to cut down on the smell? Or most guys go down pipe back?? Or turbo back but I don't have plans to switch the dp.

08 with mbrp 4" cat back. Has a nice rumble but not obnoxious when left idling outside on cold days.

Had mbrp on my 07 and it rusted out in a couple years and had to replace it with stainless one, 4'' and was alot noisier in cab, also no mileage change to offset cost of it.

I have an AFE Aluminized exhaust on my 06 duramax. No rust on it anywhere. The tip is a different story, supposedly stainless, if it is its a low grade because its pretty rusty with surface. Was thinking of painting the tip black.

My 4" exhaust, no cat, muffler, 3" downpipe, BD up pipes, EGR delete, and high flow y bridge is quiet at 100km/h, but at 110 it has a little drone, not anything i would complain about.

11 dmax Flopro, slight drone at 80km/hr but hardly notice. I would do again. Made in Red Deer. Overall exhaust is relatively quiet until you GT on the gas hard then she'll get everyone's attention.
Buddy had AFE, thought it sounded tingy.

11 LML, test pipe clamped in that removes the dpf from loyd custom in Edmonton. Uses your stock exhaust as a straight pipe with no drone or excessive noise. Turbo whistles when you let off the throttle. Tuned with efilive hand held. Oil still golden after 7000km.

Have a 4" mbrp on mine with no real complaints. Just louder than stock is my only complaint so far, we will see how it holds up over the next couple years.
