Yamaha phazer rtx 2009

hello

i am trying to remove the reverse of my Phazer, it gets stuck and rubbing on my exhaust wholes the manual shows that the whole things is supposed to come out easy but it wont come out, is there something i am not doing right? anyone removed the reverse the whole part out/??? it is urgent i want to go sledding!
