I'm looking for a truck to tow my trailer. It weighs 4100lbs empty. I was looking at a 2004 f250 with the 5.4. Would that be enough for the trailer? I will also be using the truck to commute to work about 10 minutes each way

I've got a 2003 f250 with a 5.4 for a work truck, it will do it but not very well they are pretty underpowered. Look long and hard for headgasket leaks that is a common problem with these era of trucks.

IMO you would be better off with a 2500 dodge with the 5.7 hemi, or a 2500 Chev

I am selling a really nice GMC 2500 6.0L more than enough power to pull a trailer like that.
