I wonder how many more fires are going to start??? Im still curious how the fire got to the work camps on the second evacuation in fort Mac, I was in the city at the time and staying at the camp that burnt to the ground.

I do have my suspicions.

I hope this rain puts out all the fires.


A good rain will slow them down. A friend of mine works for forestry as. Fire Fighter. They spend months getting hot spots and roots out.

I spend a week working with them. Dirty job and always in ashes.

I've been on with forestry since May to 5 standby locations, 4 different fires, and to the Notikewin fire a half dozen times. so far I've got in over 40 days of standby time and counting...currently sitting in Manning ten hours a day. raining everywhere else except where we need it most.
