City of Leduc sent a truck and crew today. Be switching crews in 5 days

I wonder how many more fires are going to start??? Im still curious how the fire got to the work camps on the second evacuation in fort Mac, I was in the city at the time and staying at the camp that burnt to the ground.

I do have my suspicions.

Seen a pile of fire trucks and bush fire trucks heading down highway 43 today.

They did a lot of thinning and burning along the highway last winter.

That's how spotting works, ever burn your grass? I'm not saying it isn't arson just saying it looks pretty typical

I wonder why they don't call in the 747 Supertankers to put out the fires. They might be a more effective way of combating these big wildfires.

They say the smaller bombers are more effective, and less money.

A good rain will slow them down. A friend of mine works for forestry as. Fire Fighter. They spend months getting hot spots and roots out.

I don't think there are any runways long enough for a fully loaded 747 to take off from up here.

I've been on with forestry since May to 5 standby locations, 4 different fires, and to the Notikewin fire a half dozen times. so far I've got in over 40 days of standby time and counting...currently sitting in Manning ten hours a day. raining everywhere else except where we need it most.
