"Of the almost 2,000 containers aboard the cargo ship, almost 1,000 were on deck. It has now been determined 106 containers fell overboard, not the 40 originally estimated by aircraft observation".
That is a quote I read this morning. No wonder we don't get good information from MSM these days. The reporters don't know basic mathematics or don't proof read what they type!! Being realistic, it could be a "typo" and could have been 1006 containers fell overboard but it sure doesn't look like the ship lost half it's load.
"The Canadian Coast Guard says the owner of a ship that lost 109 containers overboard in stormy weather last week has hired a contractor to try to recover the bins loaded with cargo."
This last quote comes from the Canadian Press: The Canadian Press
I'm betting the same thing happens to the COVID numbers
Count update lists 106 containers lost at sea from MV Zim Kingston
Contents include Christmas decorations, stand-up paddleboards and chemicals
