South of Fox Creek there is 3' or so. If you take the 947 sec. highway past kaybob plant, approx 40min, youll find snow. i was out there yesterday and had a good time. There is about 1' or so here in whitecourt.

Went out for a little ride yesterday to check on the status of the new trails. Lots of people out but we still need more snow - very rough out there and not enough for grooming yet imo. Seemed to be more snow as we headed south. Forecast is looking like we are going to get a little this week. Oh and we crossed the Athabasca River b/h Miller Western but the back channel to the trail system is still slushy and a fair bit of overflow so we turned around and played it safe.

You guys looking for signs for new trails??

Think the ol' boys are nearly finished with the last batch you sent out Glen - not sure when but you wil be getting another order. We will need alot of corner & steep hill signs - one of the new trails will be a ton of fun, like a roller coaster.:d:d:d

was wondering what's the word on the conditions out in Whitecourt?Any sledding pic's from the last few weekends?

Need more snow, we put on 36 miles but stuck to the good lines and unplowed trails. Lots of fun, and even feel the sledding muscles a little :d

Thinking about coming up there this Sunday (Jan 10th) - we usually ride from the staging area called "Eagle River" atleast I thinks that's the name. Any current updates as to how the snow is as we have not been up there this year?

Oh ya - nice photos.

Thanks

Kevin

The only grooming that has taken place is from town South towards Edson. I have not been out on this trail since it was groomed earlier this week but it has now been grommed once this season all the way to Silver Summit. You can stage in town at the Quality Inn, drop onto the McLeod river and join up on the trail heading south or stage at the Groat Creek Staging Area located south of Whitecourt on Hwy 32. We are planning to haul the groomer out to the Eagle River staging area to begin grooming north of town next week as the Athabasca river is not safe for the groomer to cross yet.

Please purchase your ASA trail pass to support sledding in Alberta. They are available in town at the IGA, RPM Powersports, Whitecourt Yamaha, Gateway Esso, and Pro Tech Truck & RV.

Yes we do by trail passes - you guys do an amazing job up there,

Thanks for the info - how about if we just want some deeper snow to ride in - is there much of that - we both have 153 & 4" tracks with 2 inch paddles.

If you head towards Silver Summit from Whitecourt, you will find some decent off trail riding on cut lines, pipelines etc.. but there is definitely more snow towards Edson as RSAINT stated.

Snow is way better north of whitecourt towards swan hills, buddy of mine was saying probably 20-24" around their cut block about 45 km north of town, but very fluffy. We definitely need this snow to settle and then at least another foot on top of that before I'd ride around here:d
