Just puting this out there. A friend of mine is thinking of selling ( he needs cash )

The s/n # of the engine is 12345.
I don't know much about Harley so maybe someone out there does.

Are you sure it is military? Solo or servi-car type? What engine? It should have the 45 in it. So a 740cc flathead engine.
Also are you sure its wla? The canadian version is a wlc. Much more rare. They used different parts. The civilian is a wl.
A well preserved wla with original paint, running can go as high as $35000. Wla in the same can go for much higher.
Wl not so much, in a well preserved state it can go for $20000.
A wla thats been fully restored can go for $25000. If its in rough shape, anywhere from $3000-9000 .

Thats very true. Harley made a flat head 45 from 1930-1948 in a 1200cc, and 1935-1941 in a 1300cc flat head. But people mistaken a knuckle head, built in the same time frame to be a flat head. The knuckle is far more valuable then a flat head. But i do believe that most wl bikes used the much more reliable, flat head.

Correction, i had to do some research to back my statement. The wl 45 is a flat head with internal valves, where the knuckle is also a flat head with external valves. The knuckle came in the model E platform.

It's in alot better shape then you let on in your original thread. Looks like its a stock wl civilian bike, with the flat head. Def not a knuckle.
Its a beautiful bike, should definitely bring top dollar.
