For Now i still have my first sled, 1985 Skidoo Citation. It was eaither upgrading the sled this year or the dirt bike and with these winters i thought a bike would be a better choice.

First Sled

It was a 1968 polaris colt 340 SS. Great little sled but I could never get the brakes to work right. From there to Yamaha ET 340. Now that was a good sled. In 1980 bought a SS 440 Yamaha.Took this sled to Allen Creek in early 80s didn`t want to get out of sight of the cabin because snow was over 3inches deep. Those we my first sleds.

My first sled was a blizzard 5500 as well, I dont even remember the year, then to a 94 Summit (TANK), to a 97 Summit 500, to a 02 Summit 800 141, Then my 05 800 Rev 151. The funny thing is people used to go to the mountains with the old blizzards and 136 tracks were long tracks..

Hey all,

My first sled was a 2001 ZR800 that I bought only in January 2005. Not exactly the best as a learner sled, but made me learn fast. I sold that in the fall of 2006 and got my 2004 King Cat shortly after (2 days later). New to the sport, but I think that I can keep up to most.

My First Sled

My First Sled That I Personally Owned(and Not My Parents Etc) Was A Jdx8 Johndeere... It Was A Very Fast Sled In Its Day... Don't Think I Ever Lost A Race. I Was Sad The Day I Sold It,:( But As I Saw The Fellow Take It For A Test Drive, A Couple Of The Bogie Wheels Went Flying Out Into A Snow Bank. Never Did Tell The Guy, But I Guess He Drove It For Several Years Afterwards.....

2000 Summit 600 (parents never let me have motor toys as a kid). Stuck constantly in the hills (too little track for a fat guy like me). Moved up to an '06 800 Summit 144 and I love it.

first sled

mine was a 1979 blizzard 5500 then moved to a 1980 9500 blizzard and currently own a 1997 formula 3
i remember toeknee with that old roloflex when we grew up together
somehow that 340 did not have enough go so he swapped a 440 into it
somehow he could not figure how to keep the muffler on it when he tried to outrun the feds and had to pick it up later when he had to throw it in the snowbank along with the whiskey he was carrying :ha_ha:
