Toyo Open Country A/T, Great on Snow, Ice, Mud, and still decend on gravel, I can get about 80,000 km on a set. 33x12.50x17. The biggest thing for any tire is rotate them at least every 10,000 kms

I only got 55,000 out of a set of Toyo Open Country A/T 285/70/17 and i rotated them every 8-10,000km. I thought they were a great all around tire but will never buy them again. A guy i work with got 105,000 out of a set of BFG All terrain KO's 265/70/17 on a chevy 1500.

I just replaced my LT 275/65/R20 BFG Wrangler A/T's on my 06 F350 with Hankook DynaPros. I got 110,000 out of the Wranglers with 5/32 still remaining. The Hankooks are a little harder ride but so far I like them.

Anyone run Geolanders?

I have ran Geolanders in various sizes and on different trucks. I just traded in my 06 dodge 2500 diesel and had ran 2 sets of 35" Geolander ATS first set got 85k and still had some rubber left. Been excellent in all conditions and surprisingly good in muddy roads. Just a side note I ran 30k on oilfield off road with the first set.

I have found that a particular tire of different sizes (265/75, 33-12.50, 35-12.50, etc) run in the same conditions react, handle, and wear totally different from size to size. Example: a BFG all terrain T/A in 33" may not handle very well in snow and ice on a particular truck, but a 265/75 version of that tire on the same truck may handle great.

I tried many different tires and sizes for many different uses and my choice for best overall performance on my daily driver is BFG all terrain T/A's.

Best mud tire: the original Super Swampers
Best ice/snow tire: Bridgestone Blizzak Winter Duelers (when NEW)
Best hi-mileage highway tire: Michelin X (hard frigg'in tires - want to stiffen your ride, buy these pucks!!)

Toyo makes a good mud terrian...I run them in the summer and BFG's for the winter.

:agree:

Toyo Mt's look great and have good ratings for mud...
The 1010tires website has a good list of tires and has feedback from people who have used them..

Toyo mt's are ok if you plan to run them summer only. Absolutely worth snow/ice tire there is, even for how aggressive it is. Even in the summer, it is pathetic how easy I could break them loose. I only had them for a couple months and they were horrible, absolutely worst tire i've ever ran. The only decent thing I can say is they are one of the quieter mt's. However there are better mt's in everyway including price. Copper discovery SST are similar in looks, cheaper, and 10x better for snow/ice traction.

I don't got to worry about it anymore anyways putting some nice 24.5 Alcoas on my 1 ton. No more stupid pickup truck tires :d

I run Dick Cepek FCII on my 08 d max 285/75 16 they have been really good so far. Also i am running Pro Comp all terrain 35 12.50 on my 06 and they seem to be a really good all around tire aswell. I have run many different tires over the past few years and strongly recommend staying away from BFG. I have had 3 diferent sets (2 all terrain and 1 mud terrain). Both sets of A/T's needed replaced before 30K and the M/T's had one tire blow apart around 20K and took my box side with it.
