Hoping to go to Wells area 24/26th and was wondering if anyone on here had been there this weekend and could give a snow and trail report of how things are.
It has been very warm in North Central B.C the last two wks and not much new snow.
Talked to a guy from Williams Lake and he said hardly any snow left there.
We are traveling a long way so a little concerned .

Don't know about Well's, but have heard that Mica(Spanish) only has about 3 1/2 feet of snow at the rock were usually there's about 10'. Interested in hearing about Yank's myself as we have a Valentines ride planned from likely to Well's.

Phoned the motel owner in Wells and he said there was about one and a half
ft. in the town . Guess that will have to do.
Now they say there is a significant risk of avalanche, I can not see that if that is all the snow there is.

How much gas over and above your tank does it take to go from Likely to Wells?

We didn't play a whole lot last year when we went, but we only had a couple sleds put in a couple gallons in Barkerville.

Thanks Growly
We just got home last night from the Cariboo.
Did not make it to Yanks, a broken power valve cable had us lose half a
day. The trails are packed, had to stop and pile snow on the tunnel
every now and then.
At Mt. Agnus there was plenty of deep snow to play in and get stuck :)
There was a big sign at the kiosk in Wells that said something about the restricted area around Yanks being enlarged now over last year.
Did not read the whole thing as we had to cancel that part of the ride.
