Evans waterless coolant ,Well would you use it in your quad or side by side ,also what about the rad ,if you use it ,what's your thoughts are ,I have a 1000 s rzr and a brute 750 and just wondering if I should go that way or not
Most automotive antifreeze is ethylene glycol and now some are propylene glycol. Ethylene is more toxic but less is required v.s. water component for equal freeze protection compared to propylene glycol. Diesel motors run hotter at the heat transfer surfaces so require tri-ethylene glycol so it won't break down. Nothing beats water for heat transfer and low energy to pump it around. That said the glycol is a necessary evil to stop freeze up. Corrosion is another concern and a glycol with aluminum corrosion inhibitors is a must. The less glycol of any kind to achieve your protection from freezing and corrosion is best. Be cautious of cooling claims from manufacturers because running more or less of the product compared to the water amount can change the cooling capabilities.
Well said.
These sort of products always made me wonder what the loss was, and I was curious how the temp can be lowered just by putting that additive in the rad. The rad is the heat transfer source so I wonder if the additive is cleaning the cooling system, making The coolant flow more laminar again.
