Ok I just got the HD GoPro camera today, thanks to Bruce at Mountain Magic.

Now I need to find some software to edit my videos, add music, etc......

What should I look at picking up?

On windows based PC now, so would need it for windows, but will be looking at mac in a few months or so..

Any help you all got is appreciated

I'm using Magix video edit pro 16 plus. It'll do just about anything you could ever dream of and probably more. It's a little less user friendly than some of the others I've tried though. Those Germans don't seem to want to follow most of the normal Windows standards. Once you get used to it it's great though. Registering and getting some of the free codecs downloaded was a pain, but mostly due to being on dialup internet.

I am not much of a computer guru and video editing drives me crazy.

That being said I used Adobe Premiere Elements last winter a few times and it was pretty easy to navigate. It does more than I will ever be able to learn to do. I don't have a super computer and it runs fine on my laptop.

Here is an example.

Many PC's come with Windows Movie Maker. It'll get the job done.

If you can wait its all there on the MAC, built in!

I very well may wait. Other than movie maker is simple and not much to do with it other than laydown the vid and a track. I can probably get by with it until then
