⬆️⬆️⬆️ hahaha man I wish you could choose the freeze frame image on those videos....geesh

Winter has certainly made a comeback around here and its still coming! Snowfall warnings for the areas and travel warnings for the highways, so give yourself some extra time to get to this amazing snow! Currently hammering down again and the forecast is looking good for an amazing week of riding ahead. You may want to add a few days to this trip!

And of course, with all this new snow on a fragile bed surface, there are some major avalanche concerns. Keep it to simple terrain meaning lower your angle, stick close to the trees and avoid major overhead hazard. Just enjoy choochin around in all of this new snow!

Ride safe all

Unreal snow today at Allan Creek. We didn't even make it as far as the cabin until noon. Easy 3 feet of pow with 5-6+ft drifts.

Avalanche Alley was loaded and hadn't dropped yet, so we didn't travel far, but rode untouched all day. There was a group playing in the creek at the bottom of Avalanche Alley... It's spicy up there, play it safe!

Small avalanche this morning in Morning Glory area of Clemina. Drove too near the base of the slope and it caused a sympathetic slide. Not unexpected given the conditions. Fantastic riding today.

Groomer parked at 4 km - no grooming from there to the parking lot.

Real deep at Chapell. 82cms of recent storm snow sitting on top of the thick February crust. 250cm total snow depth. We had an unreal day riding and hardly saw half of the area.

We saw full propagation starting on the facets on top of that crust on our extended column test. That's going to produce some big avalanches

Still grooming from 3.5. the bottom 3.5km have a hard ice crust with the recent snow on top. It wasn't bad when we went up on Wednesday, but hard to say after the last few days.

Spicy day at Allan Creek today. While we found some great pow out back, we also came across, witnessed, or remote triggered 30-40 slides.

Our group remote triggered 3 seperate size 1-2 slides from 250-300m away. We witnessed a size 2 up at the end of Avalanche Alley. We sat back waiting to pass through while a group was poking at the hills on the top side of the alley. When the engines finally stopped and we made our way up we saw the whole face had slid. Two riders were on the hill at the time, and got hit by the debris. Neither was seriously buried. Neither had a backpack or a shovel.

We saw several groups of 6-10 riders past Superbowl with little to no safety equipment. While waiting to head back through the main corridor of avalanche alley (which hasn't slid yet) a group of 12-15 decided to blow past us all at the same time. Was a wild day to say the least.
