Trestle near Cold Lake on fire

Last night or early this morning the trestle on the Iron Horse Trail near Cold Lake was on Fire. I was there this afternoon to have a look but couldn't get close enough to see the extent of the damage. I came in from the West side but the fire appeared to have been at the east end. Although there were no flames visible,fire trucks were still there when we were there so we left them to do their thing. Neighbor said that there were pictures on facebook but I'm not facebook so I didn't see them.

I'm not familiar with the area but is that part of the trail system or still used by the trains?I've heard good things about the trail system there for riding!

The car doesn't look that old. Possibly get the vin off the dash and find last RO

I love those trestles. They are a unique sight on the landscape. It is sad. Hope they can save it. I like the one near Mayerthorpe too.

Geeze, that bites! Thst's a beautiful section of the trail too. Well, hopefully they catch those frig'n chit heads. ...even though that won't bringback the bridge.

Oh. I thought the iron horse was multi use. Glad I never rode on it then ..
