Ripped my 163 x 3 stock track halfway into itself with 2400 km on it.
Looking to replace with either Challenger X3 or 3" AC Powder Claw.
Anyone have experience with either track on an Axys ? I know the X3 is a great track, but would like to try the PC.
Thanks.

I 2nd the camso 2.8. I put the 174 on my Axys and the traction is unreal. It weighs the same as the 163, 2.6 track. 49 lbs.

Stay with the stock skidoo 3".
why go through the hassle of using a doo track and have to trim it when the 280 or X3 are great trakcs? The origional T3 track isn't that great lugs fold bad from trails up into alpine my t3 has 2400 km and track isnt very good. the gen 4 is a dicentn track but not worth the extra cost and work over the 280 or x3

Conquer does NOT work in deep bottomless powder. Don't know about PC but X3 works great. I pulled off the Conquer and got rid of it.

The 280 works VERY well in the deep. We did back to back comparisons with the X3, Skidoo T3 and Gen4 3" tracks. it was just as good as those 3 tracks. We were comparing all 174 length tracks. i have no experience with any of the shorter 2.8 tracks.

No Doo track for me. And its a 'no' for the Conqy 280. Looks to much like the peak i had, and I found that track was horrible.
PC with some extroverts or CamoX and will clip right in.

Where did you find a Gen4 track in a 174 length?

Kanedog 2015-2019, thanks for the good times S&M!
Yes, but he would need to trim it to 15 wide to fit his Polaris.

Thx for reply. I failed to read the details that it was a polaris sled. I thought it was a skidoo since this site is called doo and mud. My bad.
No doo track for you. Carry on. Stay away from conquer 280. Junk.

I've got 2 cats. One has stock Powerclaw the other Camo extreme. Biggest difference I've noticed is the pc is like a toboggan downhill on hard pack. A lot less control. They both trench about the same. But that could very well be LOFT and not the track's fault.

Thanks Mike ! That's what I've heard from a few people, and I'm fine with that, as I am never in control !

It's hard to jusge on a different sled i guess I've never tried the PC on a polaris. I did jump on a bunch of sleds last trip between stock Axys track, 280, x3,xm, 850 and PC rose them all in the same snow but the PC was on the cat. Imo the cp had the least flotation and would start to trench before moving fordward same as my stock xm. I found the stock Axys x3 and 850(somewhat) all moved fordward more then trench right from the start and when getting back on the throttle in the trees. I don't ride a cat very often anymore though and completely different chassy so maybe it works alot better on the pilaris skid
