Is there somewhere a guy can get Torco Accelerator in Alberta (preferrably Red Deer)? I'd like to avoid the running back and forth to the airport to get LL100 and Torco seems to get good reviews for actually providing an octane increase. Can you still get a 5 gal pail of the stuff?

Haven't checked the price yet. I still have all my cans at home marked "AV" and "PREM"....I ran 30% AV gas in the 880. I just see the Nytro as probably being a bit more thirsty then the 880 and therefore a bunch more trips to Springbrook over the winter. I can order the 32 oz cans of Torco (6 in a case) for about a buck an oz...works out to about the same $ as mixing 50/50 AV/91 to get 95 octane. So I figured might be less hassel just adding 8oz Torco to a 5 gal jerry-can than sloshing two fuels together all the time.

the smaller cans would be alot easier to carry around than 20litre cans of ll100. going to have to start running some, as i had the sled throw a detonation code last year on a high speed run into wranglers cabin. man those kitty cats are slow, the ol xp likes to run.

hmm not being a dink but 32oz x 4 =128 oz= 1 gal/8oz of torco should yeid 16:1 unless i'm missing something?

canadian gal is 160 oz us is 128oz that is why i asked about the mixture, you would be running way lean otherwise?

OK...edited...it is 80 to 1...not 20:1 or 16:1

128 fl oz x 5 = 640 fl oz

640 / 8 = 80

80:1 gets you 95 octane when starting with 91 octane (Shell...no ethanol)

guess i did, so us 640 oz /8 oz is 80 to 1. and canada would be 100 to 1, seeing as the product is from the states i'd use the us gallon. thus the litre mixture is less confusion. so a 20 lite can would take 250 ml if i understand it.

You're missing the part about it being FIVE gallons...not 4. 8 oz into 5 US Gallons yields 95 octane.

5*32 = 160 / 8 = 20

dave i'm thinkin we're both got the same quackulator hehe

1 us gallon is 4 quarts 32 oz, hehe so 32x4x5=640oz's
1 canadian gallon is 4quarts 1 quart is 40 oz. 40x4x5 =800oz.

thus my numbers, litres are so much less confusion.

i think we need a few brews to fiqure this out hehe.

80:1 is 80:1....no matter what you use....but yes 250ml into 20l works. (yes...I figured I was using quarts about the same time you did...edited above...LOL)

NOW...WHERE CAN WE GET THE STUFF?
