Re: Todays Ride

What's with you Prairie Chickens and your poor judgment of ice thickness? Didn't the incident at Sandy Beach make people any smarter. Hopefully that thing wasn't driven out onto that ice intentionally:doh:

Re: Todays Ride

:nono:Calm down there band wagon jumpers. It's obviously a slough, not a lake or river. The grass on the edge would make me think it wasn't that deep if I did I break through, guess it was deep in that one spot anyway. I'm sure Arff didn't put the pictures up so everyone could inform him of how dumb his friend is and general negative comments.
Arff tough luck about your friends new machine, good luck getting it dried and out, drained and on the trails again.:beer:

Just my two cents, you can tell me what a azzhat I am if you want, wouldn't be the first time and I'm sure it won't be the last.:beer::beer:

Re: Todays Ride

It was along a swamp in the bush,and we drove around looking to cross.
First he walked across and jumped on it.
Ice seemed ok.

His wife was riding in our rzr with my wife.
We all figured sure lets cross.

The water was cold:eek::eek:
RZR now in my garage draining.

We should of sent or wives first.:realmad::realmad:

Bummer, but it's just a toy it can be fixed. glad no one was hurt. I bet there was a lot of 'shrinkage' in that water, and that's what really agitated the missus?

Let us know when your nards drop :eek:, that'll give us a good indication of the water temperature :d have a few :beer: and be glad everyone is OK.

Proves my point though, common sense isn't that common it's base on life experience and I am sure the next time you see ice like that your gonna look down at the little fella and say, nahh, not this time.........:nono:

Thanks on the info on how thick the ice is... I am going hunting in 2 weeks, now I know not to trust the ice if I come across a slew or muskeg.. Glad to hear everyone is okay... and nothing a couple of liters of oil can't fix!!:d
