Has anyone ridden in the Timeu Creek area north of Barrhead? Want to go up there this weekend. Just not sure what to expect.

Mostly sandy trails through pine trees. Muskeg in some spots down the power line trail. Something for everyone. Been there several times and look forward to going back. I don't think you will be disappointed.
On a busy weekend you'll come across many younger guys on dirt bikes. There are areas to random camp if that's what you're looking for.

Take HWY33 up to Ft. Assiniboine. Then take secondary 661 north from there. The highway will turn east, follow until you reach Rangeroad 45a. Everything to your left (north of 661) from there, and east, until you reach the ferry crossing at the river is the ohv area. DO NOT ride to the south of 661. It is Fort Assiniboine Sandhills Woodlands and closed to atv. A well liked area is the power line crossing 661 and heading north. Its located a few km west of the ferry crossing. you can follow the power line several km and cross a creek ro two.

You could also take secondary 769 that meets and turns into 661 through Vega. Follow it down to the ferry crossing and take the free ferry across the river. Ferry operates from April to October. DO NOT take the ferry route if you are pulling a standard type holiday trailer or you will likely rip something off either entering or exiting the ferry. I see many quad/snowmobile trailers on it without problem.

Remember, Everything south of 661 is closed to atvs although it might not look like it.
