Ahhh okay. I'm going to go out on a limb and say we win tonight with scoring not goaltending. I'll say 4-2 which will include an empty-netter. Tomorrow I think it will be harder on Edmonton but that it will be a closer battle. 3-2 Edmonton in OT. In both cases, the whiskey loses significantly

*EDIT* I guess I should be more clear... when I say "we win"... I'm an Oiler's fan, I just live in Calgary lol

I live in Calgary as well. The only thing I am a fan of here is the pay cheque. Lol.

I would like to see both as wins regardless of the score but this team has let me down too many times over the last several years.

Trust me, I can relate. It's been a decade without a team, and I remained a fan. We deserve to enjoy a few wins now. I live here for the view lol.. my paycheck still sucks haha

Pretty sure oil fans have been waiting for that game a hell of a long time ....
pretty safe to say they have turned the corner and are heading north .... At a good clip
. Leon is magic , sky is the limit ... And Mcd is .. Well Mcd !

Hats off to Todd mc.& Peter C. They have turned around a mess that was ten years in the making in months ... Only now is it obvious how bad mact and Lowe were ! There only legacy will be , without there years of blunder , we would of never drafted Mcd ...
They still need a few more pieces , but not that many to compete ...with the best .

I agree. I don't think anyone expects a cup this year.... we are just happy to have meaningful hockey this late in the season. For as well as they have done, I still feel like they have another "Gear" when all the pieces finally click together. Right now everything feels "forced".... nothing another year won't help.

There are a lot of teams not willing to sacrifice good quality prospects or picks for short term trades right now just to end up losing them in the expansion draft. Oilers could easily offer up their first and a roster player or prospect for a a scoring winger as Eberle has been way to slow this year. But if they go after some players like another goalie, D or winger they risk losing them or someone else in the draft.

This year I expect the team to stick with the roster they have until the season is over. They free up tons of cap space this summer and can hopefully improve the balance of the team.

I think if it weren't for the expansion draft they make some moves to go as deep into the playoffs as possible this year and give the fans what they have been waiting for a gain a bunch of revenue in the new arena.

Glad to see Brossoit didn't fold under pressure.

Another thing that McDavid brings to the club, is the willingness of other players to come play in Edmonton. They may now actually get more decent players at lower costs, because of the added bonus of a possible chance to make a run at the cup.

Mcd is money in the bank for a defence-man with
A good shot/ power play specialist .
Also they are realizing their home grown talent is not as bad as they thought they were ...
For example , on the old teams if a player came up and never made a huge positive impact ... Bingo he was gone ! Well how could he , the team was crap ...!
Now you have pitlick/ sleppy/ benning/ and a few others slowly coming along ..
The way it should be .
And it about time . Man , we have given up to too early on a truck load of good players ....

Be a lot tougher game tonight .. Ducks win in OT
...?

I wanted to click like for your post...... but I don't, so I can't lol

I think we have a better shot tonight than SJ tomorrow. So I'm going to say 4-3 Oil.

I missed the game. First one all year but the sledding is great!

If they can go .500 on these next 10 games it will be a great chance to see what this team is made of.

Great game , Talbot fantastic ....
Mcd / Kassian/ Drai/ Slepy looked on fire...
No one pushes the oilers around anymore ...
What a difference for our smaller skilled players !
