looks like that was more than 6 months ago, very sad indeed. a big percentage of muders are family involved, or man woman interaction. bad situation.


ran across some interesting stats on another site polaris atv.

canada stats for 2010,

since the stricter gun laws of 1991, there has been a 65% reduction in homicides by long guns, stats canada data. there was a 37% reduction in homicides involving any type of firearm.
oct 26,2011, stats canada reported 170 homicides in canada in 2010. equivalent to 32% of canadian homicides. the lowest level since 1966(1.62 per 100,000 people).


american stats for 2010


there were 12,996 murders in the usa. 8775 caused by firearms. stats do not include florida and illinois
these are based on numbers reported to the FBI


interesting numbers. i think gun control has it's place.

at least to make it harder for the crazies to get there hands on guns.
