also there should be 2 heavy wires and 2 lighter wires.

The red small is from the pedal
the blue - blue is the brake out wire
red or black heavy wire is power
white is ground

mine lights up with or without the trailer/lights connected, and its rainin out so i cant tell ya what make mine is atm i'll melt if I run out there :)

the p2 is a decent controller i run also a p3 in the dodge and works great

Well it still doesn't work.... Gotta be a pin in the jumper wire that goes from the controller to the truck. maxi fuse is good in stud1 location under hood
And can someone tell me why there is no power at the 7 way plug when you hook a test light to the electric brake tab in the plug??? My 08 and her 04 doesn't have power. Grrrrrrrr

You need power sent from the brake controller. You have to spike the controller while someone watches the test light

I had her hit the spike on my truck and I got a flash of light but on hers I got zero so that leads me to think that there's no power from her controller IDK.

They do this just to make you buy one for every year of production. Entire plug is identical. Just move 1 pin every year. Bastards!!!
