Taking a day trip to the pass tomorrow. Any recomendations for best location?

There's many places. Atlas is nice they have a warm up shack and the staging area is just out side Coleman on north side of Highway. Or u could go to Inn On The Border, u can stage there pay your trail pass and they will give you directions if you like. Or you can go directly to \corbin mine and stage there just put trail money in \box on sign.

Went to Atlas and had a good time.
Plan on going back again this week.
I am finding the trail maps are not that helpful as there is no indication of where you are at when out there. Same for Fernie

yes it can get confusing most roads have mile markers, or ppl use the cabin as ref.I found many trip and get to know the area is best and slowly expand out and explore as u get to know the area better, Glad u had a good time.

They can be kind of hard to pick out at times, but there are some small orange signs with numbers on them that will correspond with the numbers on the map. If you go to the Crow Snow riders website they also have some GPS coord's that you can relate to the maps as well.
