I have a 15 Freeride 154 atm, but was offered a trade for a 15 163 T3. I am living in BC this winter, and was just wondering if theres an advantage to a T3 over my 154 in spring snow? I love technical trees and just general big mountain riding. I love how playful my 154 is but id imagine a 163 3" would be much the same...
Any opinions appreciated. Thanks

You wont be whipping and spinning the T3 around like the Freeride.

The Freeride wont climb or float like the T3. The T3 will sidehill and lean over much easier.

Chucked a ras 2 36" front end on er this fall so thats not a big deal, just wondering if the 3" has an advantage over the 154 in spring snow pretty much.
Thanks for the input

The 3" hooks up better in spring snow but the shorter 2.5 will probably be more fun and still get you everywhere on spring hero snow.

I have the luxury of owning both a t3 and a sp 154 2.5. I will say at times the 3 inch is to much especially in lower snow conditions, but you will wish you had it in the deep. I often find myself thinking if the 3 inch is worth having givin the amount of real deep days I get a year (hasn't bin many lately)
