Anyone with a 163 in there garage care to take a look at what they put in it for a primary spring, weight, helix etc. I wouldn't mind seeing what they did and if it's different from previous years.. Not looking for any favours. Just hoping someone is taking their primary apart to clean anyways.
Look at this cat, you guys! uploadfromtaptalk1412825881361.jpg

T3 Eur 21:51 x 112P chain - 7T x 3" driver

T4 Eur 19:49 x 110P chain - 7T x 3" driver

40 helix

blue secondary spring

391 belt

438 ramps. With the track length and paddle depth, the amount the track will engage with the snow, It certainly was proper to go the route of using the 438 start of the ramp.

Go to skidoo.com. Log on to the online parts catalogues and click on T3 163 and done!
That doesn't always work I've been told. They could list the parts that the test units had last year then end up shipping with something else.

Now that parts catalogues are online they are updated regularily unlike back in the day when they had fisches. Case in point.....T3 174 test units had 19-51 gearing but catalogue shows 19-49 which was a recent change before they hit the assembly line.

163 with 2.5" track
19/51 - 2.68 ratio

162 with 3.0" track
21/51 - 2.42 ratio

they geared the 3" down, guessing the 7% reduction in driver size

I wonder if that is wise. There clutching setup is all the same, except the ramps. Some guys who ride deep all the time might find themselves switching to a 20/51 gearing. 21/51 gearing with the smaller 7th driver works out to 2.59, vs the stock 163 - 2.5" at 2.68.

When I did my 3" with the clutching I was running, 20/51 seemed to be the sweet spot on my 162.
